My name is Maddie and I am the creator of The AI Center.
I first became interested in AI back in 2012, when I started my Master’s Degree in Machine Translation. During my studies, I had the chance to attend many conferences held by some of the best AI specialists in the world.
Fortunately, these conferences did not focus only on Machine Translation. They touched on speech synthesis and speech recognition, automated reasoning, data mining, game theory, and more.
I understood that the AI field is actually an inter-disciplinary one, where progress in one particular domain can help other subfields of AI.
Perhaps the most important connection that I’ve made is this: progress in AI depends on how well computers mimic human intelligence and reasoning. In other words, we need to teach computers to think like humans. And that’s the biggest challenge that AI researchers are facing right now.
I’m very happy when I read about the latest advancements in AI. I know that each and every small step is the result of years of research, often tens of years, and massive piles of data. This helps me appreciate the work of AI researchers even more.
I’m sure that Artificial Intelligence is the future of technology. The fact that major tech companies invest billions of dollars in AI confirms this. AI research has yielded significant advancements in recent years and this is only the beginning.
I created this website in order to track the latest progress in AI research and show you how AI can impact every day life.
