The AI world is dominated by fierce competition. Well-known tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, Intel, NVIDIA and other are working at full speed to push AI research forward and innovate the field.
The question is: who’s the smartest AI in the world? This is a very difficult question to answer as AI systems tend to specialize in certain fields.
A group of researchers recently tried to answer that question and graded the intelligence of different search engines.
The smartest AI search engines
While the final result doesn’t come as a surprise, having the numbers to prove it makes it more interesting.
Google’s AI is the smartest search engine in the world, with a score of 47.28 based on tests. As a quick reminder, similar studies from 2014 rated Google at a 26.5 score.
The average score for a human is 96, while that for a six-year-old is 55.5. In other words, Google search is almost as smart as a 5 year old.
Bing takes the second place with a score of 31.98, while Baidu ranks third with 32.92, respectively.
Apple’s Siri scored 23.9, which indicates that the company still has a lot of work to do in order to catch up with the elite.
